Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hosted bilateral meetings with the Defence Ministers of Fiji and South Sudan in Delhi. During the meeting with Fiji’s Defence Minister, Mr. Pio Tikoduadua, they expressed mutual satisfaction regarding ongoing defence collaborations. They agreed to formalize the India-Fiji Joint Working Group on Defence Cooperation, concentrating on enhancing maritime security and training exchanges for peacekeepers.
In discussions with South Sudanese Defence Minister Lt Gen Chol Thon J. Balok, Singh acknowledged their participation in Aero India 2025 and reiterated India’s commitment to the United Nations mission in South Sudan. The two sides agreed to expedite a memorandum of understanding to strengthen defence cooperation further.
