This marks President von der Leyen’s third visit to India, following her April 2022 bilateral visit and her attendance at the G20 Leaders’ Summit in September 2023. The visit of the College of Commissioners is historic, occurring shortly after the new European Commission’s mandate commenced in December 2024. Scheduled talks will include delegation meetings between Prime Minister Modi and President von der Leyen, alongside discussions pertaining to the India–EU Trade and Technology Council.
