India has reprimanded Pakistan for spreading misinformation about Jammu and Kashmir. Tyagi accused Pakistani leaders of disseminating narratives dictated by their military, highlighting the government’s efforts and significant development in Jammu and Kashmir despite contrasting claims by Islamabad.
Responding to accusations about human rights violations by Pakistani Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, Tyagi condemned Pakistan for its misuse of international platforms to promote anti-India sentiments while neglecting its internal issues. He asserted, “It is unfortunate that this Council’s time continues to be wasted by a failed state which thrives on instability and survives on international handouts.”

He indicated that Pakistan, plagued by human rights abuses and terrorism, lacks the credibility to comment on political ethics or governance.
Tyagi emphasized, “As a country where human rights abuses, persecution of minorities, and systematic erosion of democratic values constitute state policies, Pakistan is in no position to lecture anyone.” He advised Pakistan to prioritize governance over its obsession with India, emphasizing the contrast between India’s commitment to democratic values and Pakistan’s failures.
