UAE Diplomats Foster Global Relations through Cultural Exchange and Cooperation

Five diplomats discussed their mission as they prepared for the UAE Ambassadors Forum in Abu Dhabi.

Ambassador Rawdha Alotaiba, with 21 years of experience, highlighted the UAE’s commitment to strengthening international relations. She emphasized that misconceptions about the UAE’s development and women’s rights are prevalent, and she actively engages Costa Ricans in cultural discussions to bridge understanding. Her launched internship program allows Emirati students to connect directly with her role at the embassy.

Shihab Al Faheem, ambassador to Japan, noted the long-standing partnership between the UAE and Japan, focusing on trade diversification beyond energy. He shared that the upcoming Expo 2025 in Osaka reflects their shared history and growing collaboration, including easier travel for UAE citizens and mutual investment initiatives.

Ambassador Mohammed Al Shamsi in Ireland reported significant trade growth and increasing connections between the Irish community in the UAE. He mentioned recent legal agreements that further solidify relations and pledged ongoing commitment to enhancing collaboration in various sectors to strengthen ties.

Hamad Al Kaabi, serving in Austria, expressed pride in the robust UAE-Austria relationship, emphasizing flourishing tourism and economic exchanges. He believes in the potential for deeper collaboration, driven by both nations’ leadership.

Nawal Al Hosany, the UAE representative to the International Renewable Energy Agency, underscores the UAE’s leadership in renewable energy on a global scale. She advocates for equal opportunities for Emirati women in leadership roles, asserting the UAE’s responsibility as a leading energy producer while promoting global climate action through international cooperation.

The UAE’s ambassadors are pivotal in fostering international goodwill and collaboration through dedicated diplomatic efforts.
