Anika Kolan, who previously captained the U19 team, will lead the senior T20 squad, while Aditi Chudasama will serve as vice-captain. Amer Afzaluddin, Chief Selector of the USA Cricket Women’s Selection Panel, expressed enthusiasm for the leadership duo and noted their potential to foster success in upcoming competitions.
Afzaluddin emphasized that the squad is well-balanced, combining experienced players with emerging talent. New additions to the team include UK-based players Ella Claridge and Tara Norris, as well as Bhakti Shastri, who has earned her first national call-up following strong performances in the 2024 National Championship. Chetnaa Prasad and Maahi Madhavan also return after impressive campaigns in the recent U19 World Cup held in Malaysia.
