As a member of ASEAN, Việt Nam supports regional disarmament initiatives and aims to foster nuclear-weapon-free zones globally. The ambassador reiterated the importance of effectively implementing the Treaty on the Southeast Asia Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone (SEANWFZ) and expressed Việt Nam’s readiness to assist nuclear-armed states in signing and acceding to the treaty.
