The mini excavators were distributed to the Eccles/Ramsburg, Mocha/Arcadia, Little Diamond/Herstelling, Soesdyke/T’Huis te Coverden, and Hauraruni/Yarrowkabra NDCs. Minister Mustapha emphasized that these provisions were made in recognition of the vital role that NDCs play in local governance and community management. President Irfaan Ali and Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo have mandated that all NDCs in Guyana receive similar equipment to assist in the maintenance of drainage channels.
