Trans World Radio representative Egide Bandyatuyaga highlighted that the rebels have resorted to armed conflict due to perceived neglect from the government, capturing two major cities and advancing further southward. Since the intensification of hostilities in January, over 8,500 individuals have lost their lives, with more than 100,000 displaced within a single week due to the violence.
Bandyatuyaga emphasized the tragic consequences of war, noting that many victims find themselves homeless and suffer from hunger and illness as they flee.
