Galileo Resources Discovers New Drilling Targets in Botswana

Galileo Resources PLC has identified new drill targets in Botswana’s Kalahari Copperbelt through an IP geophysical survey in its licenses PL039/2018 and PL040/2018. The results indicate promising prospects for copper mineralization. The company plans to proceed with a drilling program and will conduct further analysis on existing drill core samples.

Galileo Resources PLC has announced the identification of new drill targets located in Botswana’s Kalahari Copperbelt, specifically within its licenses PL039/2018 and PL040/2018. The identification was made possible through an Induced Polarisation (IP) geophysical survey, which recognized anomalies along all five surveyed lines.

The company’s previous assessments on these licenses revealed anomalies through soil geochemical surveys near the southeastern margin of the Kalahari Copperbelt. Colin Bird, Galileo’s chair and chief executive, stated that the prior exploratory activities, including initial scout drilling, indicated that these targets were promising. The recent geophysical surveys have provided clearly defined targets that warrant a commitment to a drilling program.

Colin Bird further expressed, “the latest results provide powerful motivation to pursue the newly confirmed geophysical targets with vigour.” He conveyed the company’s eagerness to update shareholders once the drilling program receives approval from the Galileo board. Additionally, a geochemical analysis of previous drill core samples will be essential to confirm the presence and extent of copper mineralization as the company prepares for the next drilling campaign.

In summary, Galileo Resources PLC has successfully identified promising new drilling targets in Botswana through comprehensive geophysical surveys. The company’s leadership is enthusiastic about pursuing these targets and is preparing for the next phase of exploration, pending board approval. The findings not only reinforce the potential for copper mineralization but also set a solid foundation for future development in the region.
