Oriole Resources Highlights Strong Potential of Mbe Gold Project in Cameroon

Oriole Resources has reported encouraging drilling results from the Mbe gold project in Cameroon, indicating significant potential for gold mineralisation. Recent findings from holes MBDD003 and MBDD004 highlight substantial gold intercepts and provide critical geological data. The ongoing drilling campaign aims to refine exploration strategies while targeting high-grade zones within lower-grade mineralisation.

Oriole Resources PLC has expressed enthusiasm regarding the mining potential of its Mbe gold project in Cameroon, following recent positive drilling results. Martin Rosser, the Chief Executive, reported that drilling hole MBDD003 revealed a high-grade section of 4.24 meters with an impressive 7.7 grams per tonne of gold.

The current drilling campaign at the MB01-S target has passed the 30% completion mark, having drilled approximately 2,200 meters across seven holes. The results have established significant gold mineralisation over a stretch of at least 200 meters and down to a depth of around 290 meters.

Although MBDD004 produced fewer high-grade intersections, it yielded essential structural data vital for enhancing the geological model. Rosser stated, “The purpose of the two pairs of scissors holes was to provide key geological structural information and… enable us to fine-tune the programme’s drill hole parameters.”

As the company continues to fine-tune its exploration strategy using the newly acquired data, two additional drill holes have been completed, with a third currently underway. Significant results are anticipated in the second quarter of 2025, as Oriole Resources aims to pinpoint high-grade zones within broader gold mineralisation.

Oriole Resources retains a 90% ownership stake in the Mbe project, partnering with BCM International, which holds an initial 10% interest and may increase its stake to 40% through a $4 million exploration investment. Acknowledging the promising drilling advancements, Rosser emphasized the project’s strong potential for significant gold mineralisation.

In summary, Oriole Resources is optimistic about the findings from its Mbe gold project in Cameroon, underscoring the rich potential indicated by recent drilling results. The company’s strategic approach to refining its geological model and exploration efforts, bolstered by ongoing drilling activities, holds promise for discovering substantial gold resources. The collaboration with BCM International further strengthens the project’s prospects as they continue to explore the area.
