In contrast, concerning statistics released by the Public Prosecutor’s Office indicated a troubling increase in domestic violence, with 7,513 cases and 2 confirmed femicides reported in the year 2025’s first two months. This period also witnessed 14 attempted femicides and numerous incidents of sexual violence.
Moreover, health data indicated a surge in respiratory illnesses, with 11,410 influenza consultations and 1,363 hospitalizations due to severe acute respiratory infections recorded recently, albeit still under the alert threshold. The health ministry advocated for the use of masks and timely medical consultations to mitigate the spread of respiratory viruses such as rhinovirus and SARS-CoV-2.
