Nepal Clinches Victory Over Uganda in Women’s T-20 Cricket Tournament

Uganda set a target of 76 runs after losing seven wickets in 20 overs, which Nepal successfully reached with a score of 77 runs, losing 9 wickets in the process.

Sana Prabin was Nepal’s top scorer with 17 runs, while teammates Puja Mahato and Rubina Chhetri contributed 16 and 10 runs, respectively. Additionally, Puja Mahato was instrumental in the bowling department, claiming three wickets, and Captain Indu Verma took two wickets. This match resulted in Uganda’s first defeat in the tournament, having previously secured a win against Hong Kong.

The tournament features four teams: Nepal, Namibia, Hong Kong, and the host nation Uganda. Each team will compete in two matches against all other teams. Following this game, Nepal is scheduled to face Hong Kong on March 10, Namibia on March 12, Uganda again on March 13, and finally Hong Kong on March 14. The two teams with the highest scores at the end of the series will advance to the final match.
