This data was disclosed by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), which provided a comparative analysis of monthly inflation rates across EAEU nations, focusing on popular goods and services.
The overall inflation rate for the EAEU countries in January stood at 1.2 percent. Notably, Armenia experienced the highest inflation rate at 1.4 percent, followed by Russia at 1.2 percent and Kazakhstan at 1.1 percent. Additionally, Belarus recorded an inflation rate of 0.7 percent, thus making Kyrgyzstan and Belarus the only EAEU member states with inflation rates below 1 percent.
In terms of specific commodities, the prices for meat and meat products in Armenia decreased by 1.2 percent. Conversely, Belarus saw a minor increase of 0.1 percent, while Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Kazakhstan experienced increases of 0.6 percent, 0.7 percent, and 1.1 percent respectively.
Furthermore, bread prices increased the least in Kyrgyzstan, rising by only 0.2 percent. Comparatively, Armenia recorded a bread price increase of 0.3 percent, Belarus 0.4 percent, Kazakhstan 0.8 percent, and Russia 1 percent. Overall, food products across all EAEU countries rose by 1.3 percent in January.
