On March 7, BPR Bank Rwanda celebrated International Women’s Day in Nyagatare, coinciding with its 50-year anniversary. The event emphasized the bank’s unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment, particularly in the eastern region, where its inaugural branch was located in Nkamba.
The celebrations commenced with the bank’s Managing Director and the management team participating in Nyagatare District’s ‘Night Run,’ promoting health and wellness among women. This initiative gathered local women, district leaders, and bank customers to honor the critical role women play in community development.
Subsequently, BPR Bank hosted a dinner with esteemed attendees, including the Managing Director, senior officials, and the Nyagatare District Mayor. It served as a forum to discuss women’s empowerment, the role of financial services in community advancement, and the significance of supporting women’s leadership across Rwanda.
