Operation New Alliance is dedicated to destroying marijuana plantations and the structures utilized by drug traffickers for processing drugs. In the previous year, six editions of the operation resulted in the destruction of over 4.5 tons of marijuana, most of which was still growing with an estimated yield of three tons per hectare. The current phase of operation is expected to last around ten days, concluding next week, with raids primarily occurring on Paraguayan soil, supported by mapping and intelligence from Brazilian authorities.
