Wärtsilä has been selected to supply new engines for two pusher tugs in Paraguay, owned by ADM Naviera Chaco S.R.L. Wärtsilä has been chosen to supply replacement engines for two pusher tugs operating in Paraguay’s inland waterways, owned by ADM Naviera Chaco S.R.L., a subsidiary of agribusiness leader ADM. The modifications and installation of the new engines will occur in Asuncion, Paraguay.
The two vessels involved are the Decatur Lady and the Tendota, each scheduled to be fitted with three Wärtsilä 20 engines. These engines, known for their compactness and lightweight design, offer fuel flexibility and reliable performance in both generator set and main engine applications.
The installation of Wärtsilä 20 engines is set to decrease the environmental impact of the pusher tugs and enhance operational efficiency.
