Bambo Akani, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Making of Champions (MOC), conveyed this information during a press conference held yesterday prior to the three-day competition.
The MOC, in partnership with MTN for this event, highlighted the significance of the championships in identifying and nurturing young athletic talents. Akani remarked that the inaugural season of the MTN Champs took place in Benin, where many promising athletes were discovered, with some currently receiving full athletic scholarships in the United States.
