Kobo Resources Expands Exploration Portfolio in Côte d’Ivoire

Kobo Resources Inc. is expanding its exploration portfolio in Côte d’Ivoire through new earn-in agreements and license applications, increasing its regional presence and alignment with long-term growth strategies in the gold mining sector.

Kobo Resources Inc., a prominent gold exploration company, has announced the expansion of its exploration portfolio in Côte d’Ivoire via new earn-in agreements and license applications. This strategic move reinforces Kobo’s commitment to capitalizing on opportunities within one of West Africa’s most promising gold regions. The company has successfully acquired additional exploration ground, enhancing its position in this resource-rich area.

Key to this expansion are two earn-in agreements with NESDAVE MINING SARL, a local exploration entity based in Abidjan. These agreements authorize Kobo to explore an additional 166.78 km² in Côte d’Ivoire’s prospective zones. Consequently, Kobo also formed a partnership with local stakeholders to establish KUNIBOA MINING Co., from which it holds a significant 40% stake.

Kobo’s growth strategy is centered around exploring and developing new gold discoveries within Côte d’Ivoire. CEO Edward Gosselin remarks, “Expanding our exploration footprint in Côte d’Ivoire is a key element of Kobo’s long-term growth strategy.” He highlights the region’s potential and the importance of securing additional land for systematic exploration.

The earn-in agreement with Nesdave includes two specific licenses, awarded effective December 5, 2024. The first license, covering 93.28 km², enables Kobo to acquire a 90% interest over four years with an investment of approximately $1.25 million. Similarly, the second license encompasses 73.5 km² with an identical investment outline. Each agreement includes terms for a net smelter return to Nesdave, along with conditions for common share allocations.

Additionally, Kobo has applied for two exploration licenses through KUNIBOA, covering 181.59 km² in proximity to major established mining areas. These applications are poised for submission to an Inter-Ministerial Commission, with anticipated approval in 2025.

Kobo remains committed to advancing its activities at its Kossou Gold Project and Kotobi Permit. As the company continues its drilling and exploration efforts, it aims to further develop gold prospects within the region. With a commendable leadership team and growing land position, Kobo offers shareholders a compelling opportunity to participate in West Africa’s flourishing gold market. Shareholders can track Kobo’s progress on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol “KRI.”

Kobo Resources Inc. is expanding its exploration activities in Côte d’Ivoire through new partnerships and license applications. With significant agreements in place, the Company aims to enhance its footprint in a leading gold region of West Africa. The strategic focus on exploration and development aligns with Kobo’s long-term goals for growth, positioning it favorably for future opportunities in gold mining.
