XCMG Brazil has introduced the first fully electric water truck, designed to meet high standards of efficiency and safety. The launch event took place in Jaú, São Paulo, showcasing two models with capacities of 25,000 and 50,000 liters, the latter known as ‘Titan.’ This initiative is a collaboration between XCMG and Impacto Implementos e Máquinas, a company engaged in equipment provision since 2004.
These electric water trucks are intended for various applications, including water transportation, dust control, compaction, and fire control. According to Ricardo Senda, the Electric Manager, they are built on the XDR80TE and E7-29R truck platforms and will be utilized in diverse sectors such as agriculture, mining, construction, and sanitation.
The trucks feature significant technological advancements, including a centrifugal pump with a flow rate of 1,000 liters per minute and joystick control with a range of up to 50 meters. An innovative electronic control system allows for electropneumatic actuation, ensuring greater stability through transverse and longitudinal wave breakers. Additional components include rear and side spreaders for effective soil moistening, dust suppression, and flame control.
The launch of XCMG’s 100% electric water trucks represents a significant advancement in environmentally-friendly technology for multiple industries.
