His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame, and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Felix Tshisekedi Tshilombo were in attendance. The leaders acknowledged advancements made through the Luanda and Nairobi processes and the outcomes of the joint EAC-SADC summit held in Dar es Salaam on February 8, 2025.
At the meeting, the Heads of State reaffirmed their commitment to achieving an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in line with the agreements reached at the recent summit. They emphasized the importance of continuing the discussions initiated in Doha to establish a robust framework for sustainable peace, as envisioned through the merged Luanda/Nairobi processes.
