CazeTV Secures Rights to 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in Brazil

CazeTV has acquired broadcast rights for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup through a sublicensing agreement with DAZN, allowing the platform to show at least 39 matches live. The tournament will include Brazilian teams and extensive social media coverage. This partnership strengthens CazeTV’s connection with FIFA and supports DAZN’s efforts to manage its global investment in CWC rights.

CazeTV, a Brazilian sports streaming platform operated by LiveMode and streamer Casimiro Miguel, has acquired rights to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup (CWC) through a sublicensing agreement with DAZN. Announced via the platform’s social media, CazeTV is set to broadcast at least 39 of the tournament’s 63 matches live, including encounters featuring Brazilian teams, the semi-finals, and the final.

The matches will be available live on CazeTV’s YouTube channels, as well as integrated on platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, Mercado Play, and Amazon Prime Video within Brazil. Participating Brazilian teams include Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense, and Palmeiras.

In addition to live matches, CazeTV will offer extensive tournament coverage across its social media platforms, supported by dedicated teams in Brazil and the United States to produce behind-the-scenes content and match highlights. Fabio Medeiros, head of content at CazeTV, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating it complements the platform’s mission to deliver engaging sports content.

This agreement enhances CazeTV’s ongoing collaboration with FIFA, having previously acquired rights for events such as the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The sublicensing deal follows DAZN’s acquisition of exclusive global rights to the CWC last December for approximately $1 billion. The platform will stream all 63 matches at no cost while entering sublicensing agreements in select markets to recover its investment.

DAZN has already sublicensed rights in countries including Italy, Spain, the United States, and Egypt, with further agreements in sub-Saharan Africa through Iris Sport Media. DAZN CEO Shay Segev expressed eagerness to connect Brazilian fans with the tournament through innovative engagement strategies.

Previously, FIFA faced challenges in securing broadcast partners for the CWC due to concerns amongst stakeholders regarding additional games and the increased workload. The tournament will launch on June 14 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, featuring 32 top clubs worldwide competing in 63 matches over 29 days. The new format allows continental governing bodies, except for OFC, to have multiple team slots, with South America’s Conmebol sending six teams, including four Brazilian and two Argentinian teams. Europe’s UEFA will provide 12 teams for this prestigious competition.

In summary, CazeTV’s acquisition of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup rights marks a significant advancement in Brazilian sports broadcasting, promising extensive coverage and innovative fan engagement. The platform’s collaboration with DAZN enhances its growing relationship with FIFA, allowing for high-quality content delivery of this major tournament. As DAZN seeks to recoup its substantial investment through sublicensing agreements, the upcoming CWC is set to be a landmark event in sports broadcasting in Brazil.
