During Raisina Dialogue 2025, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with Foreign Ministers from Ukraine, Thailand, and Peru. During the Raisina Dialogue 2025 in New Delhi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held significant discussions with the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine, Thailand, and Peru, enhancing India’s diplomatic engagements. His meeting with Ukraine’s Andrii Sybiha included an appreciation of Ukraine’s peace negotiation assessments and the inauguration of a new Consulate General in Mumbai.
Minister Jaishankar expressed his satisfaction on social media, noting, “Pleased to meet FM Ukraine @andrii_sybiha on the sideline of Raisina2025. Appreciate his sharing the Ukrainian assessment of the peace negotiations. Today’s inauguration of the new Consulate General of Ukraine in Mumbai and the signing of a protocol agreement on visa-free travel for officials will further our bilateral engagement.”
In his encounter with Thailand’s Foreign Minister, Maris Sangiampongsa, Jaishankar discussed cooperation in digital connectivity, food security, and the BIMSTEC partnership. He remarked, “Great meeting FM @AmbPoohMaris of Thailand in New Delhi today. Had a productive exchange on our digital, connectivity and food security cooperation, as well as our BIMSTEC partnership.”
Furthermore, Jaishankar met Peru’s Foreign Minister, Elmer Schialer Salcedo, to explore avenues for enhancing political, economic, and infrastructure cooperation between the two nations. They also witnessed the exchange of an agreement on information sharing between the National Archives of India and Peru. Jaishankar expressed, “A pleasure interacting with FM Elmer Schialer Salcedo of Peru today. Discussed avenues for deepening our bilateral political, economic and infrastructure cooperation, and widening our multilateral engagement.”
The Raisina Dialogue, taking place from March 17 to 19, is organized by the Observer Research Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, focusing on critical global issues in geopolitics and geoeconomics.
