In terms of security efforts, the Cabinet recognized successful operations against drug smuggling networks, particularly acknowledging the cooperative efforts with friendly nations, including the Iraqi Ministry of Interior’s interception of a significant drug smuggling attempt.
Various international collaborations were also approved during the session, including actions to enhance scientific training and cultural exchanges with Egypt and Japan, respectively. Furthermore, agreements were ratified to facilitate economic cooperation with Comoros and to address taxation issues with Iceland, alongside new air transport services agreements with Suriname and Lithuania.
The Cabinet authorized the signing of additional memoranda regarding education cooperation with Mauritania and vocational training with Pakistan. It also noted plans for collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Internal Auditors on internal auditing best practices.
