Hannan Metals Identifies Extensive Copper Mineralization at Previsto, Peru

Hannan Metals Limited has discovered a major copper porphyry target at its Previsto project in Peru, confirming 750 meters of mineralization. Surface sampling results show consistent copper grades, enhancing the project’s potential. A team of geologists is actively exploring and preparing for drilling at the Belen project in Q2 2025.

Hannan Metals Limited has announced a significant copper porphyry target at its 100%-owned Previsto project in Peru, following systematic channel sampling across four parallel creeks. The results confirmed 750 meters of continuous copper mineralization, with widths reaching up to 192 meters, situated only 1,300 meters from previously identified high-grade alkalic gold mineralization. This discovery enhances the overall potential of the Previsto project.

The channel sampling results, which included 768.7 meters of mining data, revealed encouraging copper grades, despite extensive surface leaching. Notable intersections included 48.0 meters at 0.12% Cu, 107.0 meters at 0.09% Cu, and 192.0 meters at 0.17% Cu. Hannan’s exploration team, consisting of five geologists and ten support staff, is poised to further delineate the gold-copper mineralization at the site.

Michael Hudson, CEO of Hannan Metals, highlighted the exciting potential of this discovery, indicating that the 750 meter strike length remains open in various directions. Hudson emphasized the systematic exploration approach of the Valiente project, which aims to unearth multiple mineralized centers in the underexplored metallogenic belt of the region.

Detailed geological discussions noted that the delineated mineralization showcases unique porphyry-style characteristics. The northern channels exhibited intense phyllic alteration and variations in pyrite content. The footprint has been established through 20 channel samples, revealing a substantial opportunity for expansion.

The Valiente project envelops an area characterized by rugged topography and elevations ranging from 800 to 2,000 meters above sea level. Hannan has progressively staked 1,002 square kilometers of mining concessions across this exploration domain since its discovery in 2021. Additionally, Hannan is moving forward with critical permitting milestones to initiate drilling at the Belen Project in Q2 2025.

Hannan Metals has identified an extensive copper porphyry target at its Previsto project in Peru, confirming 750 meters of mineralization. This discovery, alongside existing high-grade gold mineralization, significantly enhances the project’s potential. With ongoing exploration and proper permitting in place, the company is well-positioned to advance both the copper and gold aspects of the mineral system within an emerging resource-rich area of Peru.
