Military operations have targeted the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), with the SAF reportedly destroying a convoy of 30 RSF vehicles. Recent advances from southern troops have allowed the SAF to link with units in the city center, leading to intensifying battles characterized by explosions and gunfire along key streets. The SAF has captured the El Fadil Hospital, enhancing their position against the RSF and moving closer to strategic government locations.
Emergency assistance efforts in the region have been severely hampered due to hostilities, with a local report citing the death of 50 civilians, including volunteers, and an additional 82 detentions by the RSF.
