Pakistan to Tour Bangladesh for White-Ball Series in July

The Pakistan men’s cricket team will visit Bangladesh for a white-ball series in July, confirmed by the PCB and BCB. Details regarding the schedule and venues will be announced later. This series is planned following a discussion between the PCB and BCB leadership during the ICC Champions Trophy.

The Pakistan men’s cricket team is set to tour Bangladesh for a white-ball series in July, which is outside the framework of the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP). This arrangement has been confirmed by both the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Specific details regarding the schedule and venues will be disseminated at a later date.

This development occurs following a discussion between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and BCB President Faruque Ahmed, which took place during Ahmed’s visit to Dubai amidst the ICC Champions Trophy. Additionally, Bangladesh is scheduled to tour Pakistan in May for a series consisting of three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) under the FTP.

Shahriar Nafees, the BCB Cricket Operations Head, noted that there were constructive talks between both boards regarding the proposed white-ball series in July. In the upcoming months, Bangladesh’s schedule includes a two-Test series against Zimbabwe in April, a home series versus Sri Lanka in June and July, and a series against India set for August and September.

Furthermore, the Bangladesh team is scheduled to compete in the Asia Cup in September and will subsequently host the West Indies and Ireland later in the year.

In conclusion, the Pakistan men’s cricket team will tour Bangladesh in July for an additional white-ball series, following discussions between the PCB and BCB. This series is planned outside the formal FTP, and both boards are progressing with cooperation amidst a busy cricket calendar for Bangladesh, which includes several international commitments in the upcoming months.
