The Chief Adviser indicated that the country is currently in a “wartime mode” and noted that there would not be a military parade for National Day in Dhaka this year; however, district-level parades would continue as per tradition. Yunus reported that the government has sought cooperation from the United Nations to counteract the spread of rumors and misinformation. In this regard, he mentioned a visit from UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who expressed willingness to assist. On the occasion of March 25, Yunus solemnly commemorated those who lost their lives during the Liberation War, recalling the brutal massacre perpetrated by Pakistani forces in 1971. He emphasized that this day remains a significant date in the nation’s history, representing the beginning of a fierce struggle for independence.
