International Quds Day, established by the late Imam Khomeini, is observed annually on the final Friday of Ramadan. The day serves as a platform for Muslims and freedom-seekers to show solidarity with Palestinians and condemn the Israeli occupation of their territories.
The General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces has also called for active participation in Quds Day events, emphasizing its significance as a symbol of resistance against oppression. They underscored that this day would see free nations and Muslims unite against the tyranny of the Zionist regime. “The International Quds Day is the day when free nations and Muslims of the world take the stage against the oppression, tyranny, and wickedness of the Zionist regime and its supporters,” the statement noted.
Additionally, Brigadier General Esmaeil Qa’ani, commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), confirmed Iran’s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian quest for liberation from Israeli occupation. He highlighted Iran’s support through both direct backing of resistance forces and military operations like “The True Promise.” Qa’ani commended Hamas’s 2023 Operation al-Aqsa Storm as a notable example of unity among various resistance movements.
Hamas has recently reiterated the Palestinian resistance against forced displacement by the Israeli regime. They boldly declared, “We state it clearly: No migration except to al-Quds,” emphasizing their resilience in countering all attempts at expulsion from their land, amidst ongoing aggression since October 2023.
