Belararox (ASX: BRX) has revealed the identification of over 20 significant areas of interest at its Kalahari Copper Belt (KCB) Project in Botswana, following thorough soil sample geochemistry analysis. These anomalies, which demonstrate a strong correlation of copper and zinc, are distributed across six tenements. An analysis of existing geological and geophysical data—including magnetics, gravity, and AMT—has pointed to three regions with higher prospectivity, situated along strike from established copper deposits.

The company intends to initiate AMT and ground-based gravity surveys in two of the identified regions, while airborne electromagnetic surveys will take place in a third region, all aimed at refining drill targets. A 2,000-meter reverse circulation (RC) drilling program is scheduled for July 2025 to evaluate these promising targets. The KCB Project is strategically positioned near renowned copper ore bodies, such as Sandfire’s Motheo Copper Mine and MMG’s Khoemacau Mine.

Soil sampling, which encompassed the north-eastern area of the KCB, involved the collection and analysis of 1,984 samples utilizing pXRF Vanta technology. Data validation was conducted against wet chemistry analyses at the ALS-Johannesburg laboratory. Furthermore, publicly accessible geophysical data was processed by Fathom Geophysics to delineate deeper structural features.

Exploration priorities have concentrated on three main regions: the northeastern vicinity near Maun, the central area close to the MMG Khoemacau Hub, and the western territory adjacent to Cobre’s Kitlanya West and Ngami prospects. The planned surveys consist of ground-based gravity surveys for PL0085, PL2742, and PL2746; AMT surveys for PL770, PL771, and PL772; and airborne electromagnetic surveys for PL773 and PL2743. These surveys are designed to pinpoint high-potential targets for drill testing scheduled to commence in July 2025, which may potentially incorporate diamond drilling to ascertain the characteristics of target units and stratigraphy.
