Joya de Nicaragua, the oldest premium cigar brand from Nicaragua, showcased captivating products at the 2025 PCA Convention. Highlights include the new Antaño CT Gran Cónsul, updated Go-Packs, and revised packaging for existing lines. The brand emphasizes quality and exclusivity while maintaining accessibility for consumers in 2025.
Joya de Nicaragua, renowned as the oldest commercial premium cigar brand from Nicaragua, remains a favorite at the PCA Convention & Trade Show. Renowned for their exceptional staff and engaging president, Juan Ignacio Martínez, the brand consistently showcases interesting products and facilitates enlightening discussions. This year, their booth was strategically positioned within the expansive Drew Estate space, although it was somewhat understated compared to their previous exhibits.
While Joya de Nicaragua had noticeably updated packaging this year, they introduced only one new cigar offering. The Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT Gran Cónsul, a blend that previously garnered halfwheel’s 2019 Cigar of the Year title, is now available in a new size. This cigar will exclusively reach consumers through the Club de Amigos of JDN program, with a pricing structure of $11 for a box of 20 cigars.
In addition, the brand has introduced Go-Packs, featuring various samplers, each containing five 6 x 50 toro cigars. Notably, certain packs, such as the Rosalones Line Go-Pack, will be sold only outside the U.S. market. Other Go-Packs include offerings from the Antaño, Joya, and Clásico lines, with pricing set at $45 or $37.50 for the packs.
The Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial, first launched in 2015, is receiving an update in its packaging style, aligning with that of the Cinco Décadas. Despite these aesthetic changes, the blend and pricing remain unchanged. Joya de Nicaragua is also giving the Número Uno line a revised packaging format that standardizes it to 13-count boxes worldwide, presenting a more elegant appearance and reducing the overall cost for buyers. This change does not affect the exclusive Número Uno L’Attache, available only through the JDN Club.
In summary, Joya de Nicaragua continues to impress with its longstanding tradition and innovation within the cigar industry. The introduction of new products such as the Antaño CT Gran Cónsul, updated packaging for the Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial and Número Uno lines, and the new Go-Packs demonstrates the brand’s commitment to enhancing the consumer experience. The offerings will be available at various points throughout 2025, catering to a wide audience of cigar enthusiasts.
