In the Cadet (U-14) Girls’ division, Delta Secondary School triumphed with 50 points, followed by Ado Girls with 33 points, while SAM-KAY secured third place with 20 points. The Boys’ division saw Government Model Asaba achieve an impressive victory with 86 points, significantly outperforming Benin Technical, who finished with 43 points. Key athletes David Ekunwe and Daniel Okwokwo contributed to this success by winning multiple medals in the 200m, 400m, and Long Jump events.
The Youth (U-17) Girls’ title was claimed by Vision High, who amassed a remarkable 102 points, with Blessing Ezeh being a standout performer, earning significant points through her Shot Put and Discus Throw events. The Lord’s Own Int’l School followed in second place with 39 points, while Osadenis concluded third with 31 points. The Youth Boys’ category mirrored earlier successes as Government Model secured first place with 58 points, ahead of Beje High School, which finished with 35 points. Vision High again earned recognition with a third place of 28 points.
In the Junior (U-20) Team event, Delta State delivered a stellar performance, racking up 162 points to claim the team title. The throw events were dominated by Bosa David Kosisochukwu and Success Okeleke, with Kosisochukwu winning gold in both Shot Put and Javelin and claiming bronze in the Discus Throw. They significantly outpaced HIT, who earned 94 points, and Global Power, who secured third with 79 points.
The Senior Team category featured a tight competition between Team Bayelsa and the hosts, Edo. Ultimately, Team Bayelsa secured victory with 114 points, while Edo garnered 87 points to finish second. Team MTN rounded out the top three with a score of 48 points.
