Balaka Civil Society Organizations Unite for Credible Elections

Civil society organizations in Balaka have founded the Civil Society Elections Integrity Forum (SCEIF) to ensure free, fair, and credible general elections. Led by Sammy Aaron, the forum seeks to promote transparency and protect voters’ rights. Misheck Kafandikhale has been elected as the chairperson and aims to maintain a non-partisan stance while ensuring a peaceful electoral process.

In an effort to facilitate free, fair, and credible general elections, civil society organizations (CSOs) in Balaka have established a district chapter of the Civil Society Elections Integrity Forum (SCEIF). The initiative, led by CSEIF Eastern Region Chairperson Sammy Aaron, emphasizes the need for transparent electoral practices, accountability, and the protection of voters’ rights.

Mr. Aaron articulated the committee’s objectives to empower stakeholders in ensuring the integrity of the upcoming elections. Misheck Kafandikhale has been appointed as the chairperson of the newly formed CSEIF-Balaka chapter. In his acceptance speech, he pledged to endeavor to maintain the integrity of the electoral process, committing to uphold a violence-free, fair, and credible election on September 16.
